Rocketfish Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

My husband gave me a pair of wireless headphones for my birthday and I love them!  They are so nice to wear while running.  It's great not to have a stupid wire bouncing around or pulling at you.  I picked this particular pair because I'm not a fan of ear buds or any type of head phone that goes into the ear.  I feel like they never fit right and they block out too much street noise (because I like to be able to hear cars and know what's going on around me while I'm running).  This pair sits on top of your ear and has a plastic piece that wraps around the back of your neck, without actually touching your neck, so they are comfortable.  I had no issue with them bouncing or falling out of place.  And I thought the sound quality was great.  Run right out and get yourself a pair!

The Haps

In case you were wondering (and let's face it, you weren't),  here's what I'm obsessed with lately:

Hudson Jeans
Sweet Jesus!  I tried a pair of these babies on last week and I'm SOLD... only I'm not quite sold on the price tag and couldn't bring myself to drop the $200 before dropping another 10lbs.  We'll see how that goes.

Panda Express lunches
Weird, I know.  I'm oddly obsessed with this place for lunch.  I usually order a 2 entree plate like this: steamed mixed veggie side, string bean chicken & kung pao chicken (470 calories and low-ish carb)

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer
I always have a tube of this on me.  My favorite shade is peony, but occasionally I'll wear strawberry.  I have about 7 tubes; one in every purse and one in my desk drawer at work.

Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector Beauty Balm
Everyday.  Love!

Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, Pink Grapefruit
Ok, so when I'm running outside in the summer heat I sweat like a beast... which could lead to nasty bacne, yuck!  When I get home from a run I jump in the shower and suds myself up with this stuff.  It smells like heaven and nips the bacne in the bud.

The Vampire Diaries
I recently started watching this teeny-bopper TV series via netflix and now I'm totally hooked. The new season starts October 11th.  Can't wait!

Yonanas

This week I'm loving our new Yonanas machine. We picked it up last Sunday at Bed Bath & Beyond (20% off coupon).
I've been having a blast all week making up new flavor combinations, and Warren loves it. Yay for healthy desserts!

Go Blonder

I love my blond highlights, but hate paying for them to be redone every 6 weeks.  In search of a cheap fix, I decided to try John Frieda's Go Blonder shampoo/conditioner, hoping it would help minimize the darker roots and extend the life of my color a few more weeks.  It totally worked!  My highlights are on week 7 right now and I feel like I could stretch this out indefinitely.

Fitbit

My new favorite toy:
Fitbit

I bought myself a fitbit on Saturday as a prize for completing my first 5k.  I LOVE this little thing!  It's a fancy pedometer that counts steps, flights of stairs climbed, calories burned, it even monitors your sleep.  And better yet, the website account and support that goes along with it is free.  It also works with the My Fitness Pal ap I use to track food.  Fitbit will set daily goals for you like reaching 10,000 steps or climbing 10 flights of stairs, and when you reach your goal you earn a badge.  I'm addicted!  I cannot go to sleep at night until I reach 10,000 steps.  Sometimes this means walking in place in front of the TV (like during Monday night's snow/rain storm).

Hooray for Clean Day

My favorite product purchase this week?
Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day!
I was looking to replace my old kitchen hand soap & lotion combo.  We've been using the same system for 3 years and I'm over it.  I really wanted some William Sonoma products, but didn't feel good about spending $40 on soap & lotion.  While shopping at Fred Meyer, I was drawn to the Mrs. Meyer's products, because of the packaging, so I decided to give them a sniff test.  I loved the basil scent the most, and the label just happens to be the perfect color for our kitchen.  Score!  Hard to go wrong with a price tag of $3.99.  Mrs. Meyer's does not have a lotion option (nobody ever used the lotion in our house anyway), so instead we have a bottle of hand soap and a bottle of counter top spray (which has really come in handy) sitting in our soap/lotion tray; it's actually kind of cute.

I love My Fitness Pal

In my seemingly endless quest to lose the baby weight, I downloaded a new iphone app, My Fitness Pal.  Yes, it's free.  I've been dedicated and it has been working for me.  My favorite part about the app is when you complete your daily food/exercise log,  it tells you how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if every day was like today.  So encouraging!   I've lost 7lbs so far.

Juice Fountain

My favorite new thing:  The Breville Ikon Multi-Speed Juice Fountain

This is an amazing piece of equipment that works incredibly well.  Warren gets to drink fresh apple juice with no funky chemicals added.  I have been enjoying fresh, delicious juice for a couple weeks and I'm addicted!  This morning's concoction: grapefruit, orange, apple, pear, strawberry, tomato, spinach, carrot, celery.  DELICIOUS!  Can't wait to try some bloody Marys!

Ready to Roll

We purchased a bicycle trailer for Warren (and Zoe).  It converts into a stroller, so convenient for when you arrive at your destination!.  Now we are sure to spend lots of family fun time on our bikes.  If only the weather would cooperate we could go for a ride.

Update:  One year later, we still LOVE this trailer.  It has proven to be invaluable to our active family.  We've never experienced a problem or technical difficulty with it.  We take it out jogging every Saturday so that both Warren and Zoe can come along.  It's been fun.
